Brent bought his place (now our place) in December of 09 but got possession in March. The apartment is 643 sq ft, 1 bed, 1 bath, gas fireplace, and a North East view. It’s within walking distance to work, Save On, Starbucks, Timmy’s, Chapters, the Canada line, and the 99. Its perfect, except how the inside looks, it needs some renos. Right away I helped pick out paint colours with Brent and started painting the walls. The lady before him really liked the Mediterranean feel, but lime green, bright orange and yellow was just not for him (or myself). We picked out more neutral tones, soft greys, tans, whites and figured that would work.
While we were picking out paint colours Brent was also working on picking out some new flooring, he decided to go with engineered wood (better than laminate) and the strata doesn’t allow hardwood so this is the next best thing. I helped pull out the carpet and within a few days the floor was in.
(then we decide to do some upgrades, new stove, fridge, microwave, cabinets, granite, new undermout sink, and faucet – we just did these renos in December 11 except for the appliances, they were in the spring)
