33 Weeks

33 weeks

How far along? 33 Weeks, 4 days!!! I can’t believe that!! 45 more days to go (give or take a few)

How big is baby? 18.8 inches, and around 4.0-4.5 pounds. The size of Pineapple.

What is Baby doing this week? Babe is accumulating more fat, turning his/her skin from red to pink. This fat will help babe to regulate its own temperature once born. The neural structure within the brain is helping baby listen, feel and partially see.

What is my body doing? My blood volume has increased by 50% during the first two trimester. It will now start to level out. In addition the amniotic fluid is at its highest level; it will remain here until birth.

Weight Gain? 20 lbs.

Belly: Getting a bit larger each week.

Maternity Clothes? Yes, but I always seem to find a shirt of two that still fit.

Stretch Marks? Still none, here’s hoping it stays that way.

Sleep? Getting up to pee more and more each week. Other than that no problems.

Symptoms? Nothing new.

Best moment this week? There has been a few, getting a little ultrasound at the midwives and getting to see our baby once again. The whole reason for the U/S was to find out the position of the baby- and it’s head is down!

Miss Anything?  When bending over to pick something up wasn’t so hard.

Movement? Lots of movement! Not just kicks but I can feel when the baby moves, and stretches out. Also, hiccups!! Lots of hiccups.

Food cravings? Nothing, just trying to cut down the sugary food that I’ve been eating

Food aversions? Nothing new.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope 🙂

Have you started to show yet? Yes.

Gender? Unknown.

Labor Signs? Nope, not yet.

Belly Button- In or Out? In – for now, but its not as far of an innie as it used to be.

Wedding Rings- On or Off? On- still have room to spare! 🙂

Mood? Feeling good!

Exercise: Lots of long walks. And I have my prenatal physio that I try to do.

Looking forward to: Finishing up work! I have 10 more shifts to go, and 3 of them are nights. Almost there!!

Preparing for Baby by: Nesting!!
We’ve sanded down the crib, bought fabric, I started sewing and making crib sheets (I’ll blog more on that later!), started the mobile. And we’ve started to clean out all the random stuff that we’ve gained over the last two years that we do not use.
The last time I wore this sweater was in the Winter/Early Spring when we got photos taken By Tanis8 & 33 weeks
