The Owens

Brent first met Lindsay when they were 14 at summer camp, from there they would be pen pals and eventually lost contact. After many years their paths crossed again, Brent went to Lindsay’s and Jon’s wedding in 2005 and they were able to fly up and come to our wedding almost two years ago. This is when I met them, and I am so glad that they were able to come! They are such a lovely family, and we are truly blessed to have them as friends.
After staying a week with the Owen’s we wanted to take some family photos of them just for fun. We spent a lovely overcast day (still warm by Vancouver standards) taking some photos around their yard.
We also headed down to one of San Diego’s beaches for the day.
We spend a morning down at SeaPort Village

And spent a lovely afternoon walking around a lake and feeding the ducks.

Citrus Trees

I guess I have to admit that I’ve never seen an orange tree or had a fresh orange (beside what the markets call fresh). This was an opportunity I didn’t want to take for granted. Last time we visited San Diego it was September, an off season for the citrus trees, this time we were in season. Brent and I walked around the block and took some pictures. One homeowner told us to pick as many as we wanted, turns out most of the fruit goes to waste.

and just a few more pictures of the neighbourhood
